Before Clint Eastwood said, “If somebody is dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get,” we had to ask, “What’s going on here?”
Now we know: He gave them what they deserved.
Before Mr. Eastwood confirmed our suspicion that he knew exactly what he was doing, we wondered how he could stand up for a man and party whose behavior in recent times, and long before too, flies in the face of everything he stands for in his films.
So before his “dumb enough” remark, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go to the movie. Now we know. We should have “kept the faith!”
So we’re going!
PS. But now we heard, but couldn’t verify, that Mr. Eastwood said he would stump for Mr. Romney. Even if so, this time we’re going to “keep the faith” and go. Perhaps it’s an implied threat!
