Is this what Capitalism is really about? Using the government to impede the initial development of a competing product, (not covered in this article), and using it now to strangle it once it has gotten some headway.
This echoes the loss of the television industry by protecting in the short run a losing yet profitable technology, and losing the whole ball of wax in the long.
But this is much bigger!
