The thesis of this article is that Trump’s crazy rants demonstrate his craziness. He is NOT crazy on the basis of his rants. To be sure he is crazy – megalomania – but his rants demonstrate – ultimately to our profound regret – his genius for keeping our eyes off the ball.
His rants are imaginative streams of consciousness, succeeding magnificently in their purpose: Distraction! Rope-a-dope!
