The Democratic Party and the Democrats are perceived as cowards. That’s because they are.
If they want to stop being perceived as cowards, they had better do something brave. The brave thing now would be to not back down in the government closure standoff. Sooner or later, the Republicans in Congress or Trump will back down. They must hold their ground until then. Then, when they prevail, whatever else the consequences, it will at least be a start. They will have been brave!
